Hi All, JonJon here.  Well, what a shocker huh?  Yes, December 31st 2024 will be me and Julie's last night as the owner/operators of DittyDog.  Up until 6 months ago, we were planning to go at it for another few years before so called "Retiring".  However, things change, mostly for health/medical reasons.  I need a minor surgery on my left foot and have a disc issue in my lower back that has been getting to me for a couple of years now.  Julie has minor arthritis primarily in her elbows and hands.  Sounds like old people stuff, right?  Well, I'll be 60 next year.  So, after 8 years in the military, 20 years in wireless telecom construction and engineering, many years in construction, IT IS TIME...TO TAKE A LONG ASS BREAK!  So, I (very very loving husband) am going to relieve my amazing and beautiful wife of 23 years from a life of rigorous physical labor and take her for some traveling here and there for an unknown period of time. Don't worry, we will be popping in from time to time!  I'm from Texas and most of my family is scattered around here, AND I don't know how long I can stay away from the amazing people and culture of Austin!  Seriously, MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place to live and breathe so far!  Julie and I have felt the most comfortable we have ever felt - living here - amongst you very lovely and kind humans.  My greatest joy at DittyDog was seeing your smiling faces and feeling your amazing energy!  Making amazing food for you was Cool, but it was the connection and engagement with our customers that FIRED ME UP the most!  

OUR NEXT CHAPTER

First, we will check out SE Asia for a while.  How long? We'll see.  Also, I, with the endless support of my lovely wife, will launch my life's dream!  A platform that will allow me to release 40 plus years of ideas, methods, techniques that I have been using on myself, resulting in great internal joy and peace, plus the ability to FOCUS and KICK ASS at whatever I bite on to!  Finally, I don't have to keep thousands of notes and ideas locked up inside any longer.  I can let them explode outwards, into the world.  YES, it is time to reveal the true purpose of my existence.  No joke. I'm serious. I absolutely believe that I was given this life to support and enable others.  It was alway meant to be and I will deliver!

MY PROMISE

If you sign up to be notified of my YouTube channel launch, and you watch a couple of future videos...you will:  1) probably be a tiny bit surprised that your old HotDog guy is putting out some crazy ass concepts; 2) be able to keep an eye on me and Julie's adventures; and 3) possibly get something good out of this weird 'Mindset Reframing' thing that I'm talking about.

NEW OWNERS

I'm not going to mention any specifics about the new owners, but I'll tell you this...  Out of all the interested buyers, WE GOT LUCKY!  We connected with an amazing (local) family that has deep roots in Austin, are very nice people (that I will continue to support), and are excited to continue keeping DittyDog alive and thriving!  Keep Alive? Yes. At first, Julie and I were originally planning on shutting DittyDog down for good (easy way out), but, thankfully, that's not the way it turned out.  

A REQUEST

Please be patient and supportive to the new DittyDog team while they ramp things up.  It will take some time, but they will certainly get there.

FINALLY

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being amazing people that create and support a culture of kind energy, openness and love.  A place where you can have a seat near just about anyone and start up a conversation.  A city where you can breathe and not feel constrained. A city that is so interesting - it's difficult to explain.  A place where you can spend your day or your evening walking around without spending a lot of money and still be entertained.  WoW! What a wonderful place.
